Flavorpill Media has been curating and contributing to culture since 2000. An online publisher and experiential brand based in Soho, NYC, we cover events, art, books, music, wellness, and pop culture the world over. Our three digital properties are Flavorwire.com, Everup.com, and email newsletter, Flavorpill. Highbrow, lowbrow, and everything in between: if it's compelling, we're exploring it. Our agency arm, Cultivate, creates original branded experiences both online and offline for top-shelf clients, engaging our community — and beyond — in inventive ways.
We believe in championing progressive culture. Our mission is to empower you to lead a more extraordinary life by connecting you to culture, people, ideas, and experiences that inspire you.
Sascha Lewis and Mark Mangan launched Flavorpill as a simple, text-based email highlighting their favorite events of the week in their hometown of NYC, back in 2000. What began as a way to encourage friends to get off the couch and explore their city has grown to include (at present) two websites, an email newsletter, a dynamic creative services agency, and 25+ full-time employees. We've since hosted a yoga class for 10,000 people in Central Park, partied and meditated in museums coast to coast, and started a one-hour lunchtime dance party with Questlove that changed the game. As Sascha likes to say, "onwards and upwards!"
Flavorwire features global cultural news and commentary. The site offers timely coverage and incisive analysis of today's most provocative films, music, books, TV shows, and more, featuring original essays, reported stories, and the occasional animated gif exploring the intersection of culture, politics, and current events.
The publication that started it all for Flavorpill Media: Flavorpill is a bi-weekly email that helps you discover and make the most of NYC. Our email delivers intel and experiences that culture-seekers need to know, see, and do. Make the most of your free time with our curated event recommendations.
The newest publication from Flavorpill Media, Everup is a digital destination for energetic self-starters that covers all aspects of personal and professional development, with a focus on creativity, productivity, and wellness. Everup helps you do more, be more creative, and be healthier and happier by providing editorial content that helps you lead your most extraordinary life.

Flavorpill Media's in-house agency, Cultivate works with advertising partners to tell your brand's story in a creative way guaranteed to resonate with our audience, and beyond. What this looks like: surprise halftime shows with game-time GrubHub deliveries (Pepsi), in-depth maker profiles and video content (Woodford Reserve), lunchtime dance parties (ABSOLUT), a day in the life of SoCal skate crew the Moxi Girls (Old Navy), and an auction to benefit AIDS nonprofit DIFFA (Patrón), to name but a few. Examples below.
Old Navy: To celebrate Old Navy's new stretch denim, we threw a family-friendly roller disco at LA's historic Moonlight Rollerway, complimented by video around SoCal skaters the Moxi Girls, who hosted the event.
Woodford Reserve: For Woodford Reserve, we conducted a multi-city dinner and tasting tour, and interviewed several makers with the same dedication to craft as Woodford's own Master Distiller.
ABSOLUT: Lunch Break was a super-charged, 60-minute dance party, bringing nightlife to noontime coast to coast, with help from DJs like Questlove, Jazzy Jeff, and Peanut Butter Wolf.
Pepsi: We made 54 deliveries featuring surprise halftime shows (complete with band & cheerleaders!) during NFL playoffs.
Cole Haan: We built a pop-up Inspiration Lab during New York Fashion Week, offering complimentary coffee, workshops by Skillshare leaders, and a panel discussion starring next-gen creatives. Plus: an installation by The Sketchbook Project!
Patrón: We commissioned custom barware from American artisans, then auctioned them off to benefit AIDS and design nonprofit DIFFA.
We’re always game to add fresh talent to our team: a community of writers, editors, designers, and sales and marketing creatives who share a passion for culture. Flavorpill Media offers a stimulating, fast-paced work environment, exciting challenges, and a gorgeous Soho office that keeps us inspired every day. Check the listings
